How to win the war with simplicity?

This week, we are rummaging into the ‘Battlefield of a Solopreneur’ and how one can RECLAIM their INTENTIONAL F. R. E. E. D. O. M. and serve their clientele with confidence without compromising their own peace and joy.

FOCUS Monday: Overwhelm can be really incapacitating. It can arise from our own ideas and lack of clear priorities as much as it can from the excessive or unrealistic demands of our client. It becomes a real battlefield between ‘What you want to do’ vs ‘What you should be doing’ and we become ‘The mouse on wheel’ running non-stop without a direction – lost and fatigued.

This is where simplifiedStructure’ and ‘Discipline’ can create miracles by paying attention to the basics:

  1. Prioritize three tasks at a time.
  2. Assign each task no more than 45 minutes.
  3. Remove all distractions – phone on silent, close the email and irrelevant browser tabs.
  4. Do not keep any items or apps visible to you that are not relevant to the task at hand.
  5. Take a moment within, to celebrate every micro-milestone you achieve in the process.

Remember to breathe, take mini breaks every 30-45 minutes for 5 minutes to get up from your sedentary state and go for a little walk. This will help you with healthy blood-flow in the body and to the brain. When you go back to your desk review what you have done and continue with the 5 steps above.

Before you jump for any ‘but’, ‘actually’ or ‘because’, simply try the process above for a week. Watch yourself winning the battle of overwhelm with a simple structure to reclaim your focus.

UP NEXT (tomorrow): Rise to say ‘NO’ to them, to say ‘YES’ to yourself.
